HR#SPAMBrandPartner Recipe ⤵️ Corn Dogs got an upgrade because we’re swapping out the hot dog for some delicious @spambrand Classic 🌭🎡
Ingredients:
- 1 tin of SPAM® Classic
- frying oil
- ice pop sticks
Wet ingredients:
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
Dry ingredients:
- 1 c AP flour (extra to coat SPAM®)
- 1 c corn meal
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 c white sugar
Directions:
1. Add your dry ingredients in a bowl & whisk together.
2. In a separate bowl add your wet ingredients & whisk them together until no more egg streaks are present.
3. Add your wet into your dry and mix until you have a nice thick batter. **If it’s too thick add a splash of buttermilk.
4. Cover and let sit for 15-20 mins.
5. Cut your SPAM® Classic into about 1/2 in slices & pat them dry really well.
6. Add the ice pop sticks & lightly cover them in flour making sure to tap them to get the excess off.
7. Add your SPAM® Classic dogs into the batter and gently dip them on both sides till they’re nice & covered. Remove excess by scraping it against side of bowl.
8. Drop them into hot oil over medium heat. Fry for 3-5 mins until nice & golden brown. Then remove onto wire rack.
9. Serve with ketchup, mustard, and enjoy babe!
