Doug Ford is lifting the tuition freeze and gutting OSAP grants — slashing grant funding from up to 85% down to just 25% and forcing the rest into loans and higher student debt. That means not only will students pay more to go to college or university, they’ll graduate tens of thousands of dollars more in debt. And with the rising cost of housing, transit and food, on top of facing more student debt, fewer students will have the opportunity to go to college or university to train for a career. Demand it from Financial Aid. 2️⃣ Emergency Funds: Schools have “non-repayable” crisis grants for housing & food. Don’t go to the streets—go to your Registrar and ask for an “In-Course Bursary.” 3️⃣ Walkouts: Rallies are happening across Ontario right now (Queen’s Park, Ottawa, Waterloo). You aren’t alone in this fight. The system is failing us, but the streets are a trap. Keep your head in the books and your boots on the ground. 📚✊ 💡 Why this is critical right now (March 2026): • The Funding Flip: The province just officially capped grants at 25%, meaning 75% of your funding is now a loan.
