CI👀 🌳 Have you seen the new trees at Waterfront Park???
🌳 The City Arborist along with the Horticulture Division recently worked together to plant new trees at the park.
💰 The City’s budget is made up of different funds that come from different sources besides property taxes. For instance, the tree fund is made up of permit and mitigation fees paid by residents and businesses. That money goes back into the City’s Tree Fund and is used for projects like this one.
🏡 🌳 Property taxes pay the people who get the work done, and the tree fund pays for the trees.
💚 All of these pieces work together to create a better Safety Harbor for everyone to enjoy!

LAToday, Public Works Director Sean Burgess led a site visit at Marsh Tower and Sunset Park, two beloved Landings Association amenities.
Thank you to Dr. Sydney Williams and intern Eva Legaspi with UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant for your involvement in this project, as well as our amazing volunteers: Rob Burch, Patty Morgan, Meg Kettlitz, Ruth McMullin, and Renee Waters.
Eva and Sydney are working to develop living shoreline renderings, ideas for native plantings, and educational signage to help residents support and understand marsh health.
