On March 6th, cinema lovers, filmmakers, students and curious observers alike lined up at PVR Lido, Juhu for the second MAMI Independent screening event, showing short film “Automagic” and feature film “Secret Of A Mountain Serpent”. Hear about what the MAMI Independent screening meant to the filmmakers in their own words! MAMI Independent is a new year-round programme of the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. Throughout the year, you can find us every Wednesday at 7pm at PVR Lido, Juhu in Mumbai showcasing contemporary independent cinema from India and around the world, completely free of cost. Join us in celebrating bold, unconventional storytelling week after week. Couldn’t make it to this screening? The MAMI Independent free weekly programme concluded its first month yesterday with yet another successful screening! Watch the audience and film team’s testimonies of a truly special evening. Audiences queued up to watch short film “Free As A Bird” (dir._aditya_khude_) and feature film “If On A Winter's Night” (dir. @ sanju_surendran) on the big screen. The filmmakers were presented with the unique opportunity to introduce their films and share their craft and journey with viewers. Later, Surendran also engaged with avid cinephiles, film students, and aspiring filmmakers alike in a post-screening Q&A session, moderated by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, MAMI’s Festival Director. MAMI Independent is a new year-round programme of the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. Throughout the year, you can find us every Wednesday at 7pm at PVR Lido, Juhu in Mumbai showcasing contemporary independent cinema from India and around the world, completely free of cost. If you couldn't make it to our screenings this month, worry not!
