FA📍 Sea Point, Cape Town 🇿🇦 🌧️
The weather in Cape Town lately has been intense. Strong winds and pouring rain have caused flooding and damage across the Western Cape, with schools even being closed. When I see all the videos circulating on social media of rooftops and trees being blown apart, it’s hard to believe it’s the same city I’m looking at from my window here in Sea Point.
Outside, people are still walking their dogs, a few joggers pass by, and others stroll peacefully through the rain.
We’re dealing with some leaking problems in our apartment, but we still feel incredibly grateful for the warmth around us and the food on our table, especially knowing that many others are facing far worse right now.
Our thoughts are with everyone who has been severely affected by this weather. 🥹
