SO🩺 SIMWars Heats — this morning!
For anyone who hasn’t heard of SIMWars — it’s a high-pressure simulation competition where teams manage acute medical emergencies in real time, just like on the wards. You’re assessed on clinical decision-making, communication, teamwork, and how you perform when things don’t go to plan 😅

Massive shoutout to my team — who I met for the first time this morning — and somehow we still pulled it together 💪
Team name (a ChatGPT special): “SIM it to win it” 🤝😂
I loved all the other creative team names!! 🤩
We were lucky enough to come first in our heat, which means we’re likely heading to SIMWars in Dublin in the new year 🇮🇪✨
It was especially cool working interprofessionally — we had a nursing student on our team, and it really highlighted how important good teamwork across professions is in real clinical practice 🩺🤍
SIMWars is open to:
• 3rd–5th year medical students
• 2nd & 3rd year nursing students
I was actually the only 3rd year medical student at this heat — everyone else competing was 4th or 5th year — so I learned an incredible amount and felt very grateful to be part of such a supportive, capable team.
So much learning, lots of adrenaline, and a reminder of why simulation is such a powerful way to learn 🚨🧠
