There are cryobanks all over the country to choose from so it took me a while to narrow things down! I ended up with 12 and then invited my friends to come for the show! I am extra so of course I made a PowerPoint with coordinating music for each donor with all of their highlights etc and in the end we all pretty much settled on the same 2-3 donors. Now the sperm lives at my cryobank and soon embryology will use it to create my embryos! #ivfjourney #singlemombychoice #smbc #becomingsmbc #fertilityjourney.

NIDas neue Jahr ist angebrochen..
Schon? Dabei habe ich nur wenig von meinen Zielen für 2024 erreicht.
Warum eigentlich?
Was hat mich abgehalten oder aufgehalten?
Irgendwie dachte ich vor einem Jahr, dass ich nächstes Jahr vielleicht mein zweites Kind unter dem Herzen trage..
Aber - das ist so ein großes Thema.
Als Singlemom by Choice ( was ich dann wäre ) eine riesen Verantwortung.
In diesem Jahr kam so oft einfach das Leben dazwischen.
Nicht nur ein gebrochener Arm der heilen musste, sondern auch zwei gebrochene Herzen…
Und viele Entscheidungen mit einhergehenden Veränderungen.
Ja.. irgendwie gab es immer einen „Grund“.
Aber mir wird klar, dass es den wahrscheinlich immer geben wird.
Niemals wird der Zeitpunkt perfekt sein.
Niemals wird alles zu 100% passen.
Niemals wird es risikolos sein.
Niemals wird es einfach sein.
Aber ich werde immer alles aus Liebe tun.
Manchmal reicht das.
Erst Recht, bei den wirklich großen Dingen im Leben ❤️

LAIch möchte für Eva ein ebenerdiges Trampolin in unserem Garten bauen. Und ganz ehrlich: Von Anfang an war mir klar, dass mein Vater mir dabei helfen wird. Einfach, weil er das kann.
Und ja, dazu kamen auch schon Kommentare. So nach dem Motto: „Ach ja, erst sagen, auf Männer will man verzichten – und dann holt man für jeden Scheiß den Papa.“
Ich glaube, hier wird etwas ziemlich grundlegend missverstanden.
Ich habe nie gesagt, dass ich auf Männer verzichten will oder dass ich etwas gegen Männer in meinem Leben habe. Überhaupt nicht. Ich habe einfach nur noch nicht den richtigen Partner gefunden – und mich deshalb entschieden, meinen Kinderwunsch nicht davon abhängig zu machen. Ich bin eine Single Mom by Choice. Das war eine bewusste Entscheidung.
Aber Emanzipation bedeutet für mich nicht, dass man alles alleine machen muss. Emanzipation bedeutet, dass man selbst entscheiden kann, was man alleine schafft und wo man sich Unterstützung holt. Dass man klug genug ist zu wissen, wann man Hilfe braucht – und sie auch anzunehmen.
Ich finde es weder peinlich noch widersprüchlich, meinen Vater zu fragen, ob er mir hilft, für seine Enkelin ein Trampolin in unseren Garten einzubauen. Im Gegenteil: Ich schätze sehr, was er kann. Und ich bin dankbar, dass Eva einen Opa hat, der solche Dinge mit uns möglich macht.
Dass ich mich entschieden habe, meine Tochter ohne Partner großzuziehen, heißt nicht, dass ich keine Männer in meinem Leben habe oder haben möchte. Es heißt nur, dass ich mein Leben und meine Familie selbstbestimmt gestalte.
Und genau das ist für mich Emanzipation.
Mich interessiert eure Meinung dazu!

FAIVF Update:
My labs came back and are significantly lower than they have been in the past during this stage in the process.
They should rise as my follicles continue to mature, so just to be safe we’re going to do another set of labs on Tuesday and possible ultrasound just to be sure everything is on the right track.
If all looks good Tuesday, I’ll trigger Tuesday night for a Thursday morning retrieval.
Always with the curve balls… Prayers that this is the round that Baby P is in and that things continue to move in the right direction 🙏🏼🫶🏼
