Think of it as “saving it for later” Red Foxes in the wild are scavengers and opportunistic eaters. If the chance comes their way to get some food even if their bellies are full they’ll carry it back to their den site and bury it. Foxes are very smart when it comes to making sure they enough food especially during the winter months when food can be more scarce. Wila here has had enough treats and now is burying them and will come back for them next time.
