SAVE ME for next time you are hosting 🫶🏼👩‍🍳🤤 Ingredients For the smashed potatoes 1½ lbs baby potatoes (Yukon gold or red) 2–3 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp garlic powder ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper 1 cup shredded cheddar (or mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a blend) 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for extra crisp) 👩‍🍳 Instructions Boil the potatoes Place potatoes in salted water. Boil 15–20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and let steam dry 5 minutes. Smash & season Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place potatoes on a lined baking sheet. Use the bottom of a glass to gently smash each one. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bake until crispy Roast 20–25 minutes until edges get golden and crispy. Add the cheese Sprinkle cheddar (and Parmesan if using) over each potato. Bake another 5–8 minutes until melted and bubbly. Make the dip 🧅 1 cup sour cream ¼ cup mayonnaise (adds richness) 1–2 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped 2 tbsp very finely minced green onion (white + light green parts) ½ tsp onion powder ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste) ¼ tsp black pepper 1 tsp lemon juice (brightens everything) Optional Flavor Boosters 1 tbsp cream cheese (extra thick & creamy) Tiny pinch of smoked paprika 1 tsp ranch seasoning for extra savory punch . . . . . . . #yachtchef #yachtlife #chef #recipes

🐶 Dozer proof of crispy - N x ❤️ Crispy Smashed Potatoes   700 g / 1.4 lb small (12 – 14) OR 1-1.2kg / 2-2.4lb medium potatoes (6 – 8) 30g / 2 tbsp unsalted butter , melted 1 tbsp olive oil (makes ‘em crispy!) 3/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Parsley or chives, for garnish (optional)   1. Bring a pot of water to the boil. Cook potatoes until you can pierce with no resistance. If skin breaks, don’t worry. 2. Preheat oven to 200C/390F (180C fan). 3. Drain the potatoes and let them dry in the colander for 5 minutes or so. 4. Use a potato masher (“S” is best), glass or fork to squish them, keeping them in one piece. Thin = crisper. Thicker = fluffier insides. Both good! More nubbly surface = better crunch! If they break, don’t worry – push them together, they will adhere when baked. 5. Leave on the tray to steam dry for 5 minutes or so - makes them crispier! 6. Drizzle with butter, then oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 7. Bake for 40 min (small) – 55 min (medium) or until deep golden and crispy. Do not flip! Serve hot, sprinkled with parsley if desired. #recipetineats #crispysmashedpotatoes

Boil 10–15 min until fork-tender. *Tip: Don’t overcook, they should hold shape! Season & Smash → Add potatoes to a large bowl. Drizzle olive oil and add butter, salt, paprika, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic and Parmesan. Place onto a parchment baking tray. Use a glass to press down gently.
