I said to him, “What if I walk out into the rain and you record me?” Almost immediately, fear followed. Fear of looking foolish. Fear of embarrassing him. Fear of being seen as attention-seeking. The rain didn’t pause or slow down. All I could do was stand there, longing to feel the cool drops on my skin, imagining how free it must feel. He asked, “Are you going to do it?
