This Is How They Move a Spacecraft… And It’s Insane 🚛🚀 A massive Orion Artemis II capsule rolling down a highway, guided by a coordinated team on the ground. No CGI — just real scale, real tension, and real precision. You don’t realize how huge it is… until you see it like this. #artemis2 #rocket #engineering #spacecraft #aiwowai

Who would you take with you on a trip around the Moon? As we prepare to send our Artemis II astronauts around the Moon, we’d love to know who’s on your #NASAMoonCrew. Who is packing the snacks? Who is making the lunar playlist? Who is driving?! Share your photos, art, videos—anything depicting your crew—with the world! Do a photoshoot decked out in your favorite NASA gear. Write a song about what your favorite TV show characters would be like on the journey. Make a stop motion animation of you and your besties flying around the Moon. Use the hashtag #NASAMoonCrew for a chance to be featured on our social accounts or on the Artemis II launch broadcast. Check the link in our bio for more. The Progress 94 cargo spacecraft, carrying about three tons of food, fuel, and supplies for the Expedition 74 crew, launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 7:59 a.m. EDT. After a two-day trip to the space station, Progress will dock to the Poisk module’s space-facing port at 9:34 a.m. Tuesday, March 24. #NASA #Launch #Progress #Spacecraft

a stunning view of home from far away 🌍🚀 astronaut Christina Koch captured this video of Earth from the windows of the Orion spacecraft during day two of Artemis II. at the time, Orion was about 33,800 miles (54,500 km) from Earth… roughly like traveling across Africa more than 60 times in a straight line. #orion #integrity #spacecraft #earth #moonbound

🚀 27-Meter Parafoil Must Land Space Rider ESA's Space Rider drop-test model is ready for a strange kind of rehearsal in 2026. The vehicle is not built to splash down or glide like a plane, because it has to return under a steerable 27-meter parafoil after orbital science work ends. That makes the hardware more interesting than a normal clean test article. The open body has landing skis, packed fabric, deployment links, and a structure that has to survive a helicopter drop before the orbital version flies. This matters because Space Rider is meant to become Europe's reusable robotic space laboratory. If the return system works, experiments could fly to orbit, come back intact, and let teams refurbish the vehicle instead of throwing the whole spacecraft away. The depth layer is the landing constraint, because return shape changes the whole mission design. A capsule can rely on simple parachute descent, but Space Rider needs controlled glide behavior so it can steer toward a runway-style recovery zone. The 2026 drop tests are not the mission, but they are the proof step before that mission can be trusted by future users. One packed parafoil has to turn orbital hardware into something that can come home repeatably. Follow @dailyspacestories for more space stories! 🚀 #Space #ESA #SpaceRider #Spacecraft #Parafoil

SpaceX is building the first ever gas station in space. To build a moon colony, we need massive rockets and even more fuel. The problem? Most of that fuel is burned just escaping Earth’s atmosphere. To solve this, SpaceX needs to do the impossible: have the spaceship dock with ANOTHER spaceship that serves as a fuel tank IN SPACE To see what happens next, follow along! #space #spacex #artemis #spacecraft #moon

Precision Landing Sensors Enable Safe Landings on the Moon and Mars Landing on the Moon, Mars, or any other world is one of the hardest engineering challenges in space exploration. There’s no GPS, no air traffic control, no second chance. Precision landing sensors — including LiDAR, radar altimeters, terrain relative navigation cameras, and hazard detection systems — work together in real time to guide spacecraft to a safe touchdown. From Apollo to Artemis, from Curiosity to Perseverance, this is how we land on other worlds without crashing. Credit: @nasa curiousclubtv . . . #Mars #Moon #surface #spacecraft #space

✈️ Could an aircraft fly **without wings**? NASA once tested a strange wingless vehicle that looked more like a flying bathtub than a plane. To prove the idea, they dropped it from **30,000 feet** and hoped it would fly. The result helped shape how spacecraft return to Earth. 🚀 Watch the video to see this unbelievable experiment. #NASA #Aerospace #Aerodynamics #Spacecraft #Engineering #Innovation #Technology
