ASThis isn’t a movie—it’s the Super Heavy booster returning home. To achieve this, the rocket uses a "boostback burn" to flip itself in mid-air and head back toward the Texas coast.
As it nears the ground, its Raptor engines ignite to perform a precision hover. This allows the launch tower's mechanical arms to safely grab the booster out of the sky. By removing landing legs, engineers saved tons of weight, allowing the rocket to carry more fuel and heavier payloads into orbit.
To put the power in perspective, this single booster generates more than double the thrust of the Saturn V rocket that took humans to the Moon. It is the most powerful flight system ever built, designed to make trips to Mars as common as a cross-country flight.
