Spring is one of the most beautiful seasons in Northern California, and there are so many fun things to do with kids within a short drive from Sacramento.
Here are 5 spring experiences to add to your bucket list:
🌼 1. Go on a hike to see wildflower blooms. Our favorite so far: Buttermilk Bend Trail, Phantom Falls (March–April)
🦅 2. Visit FREE Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Carmichael and spot wildlife.

Yumm Strawberry West Sacramento and Elk Grove (best April–June)
🥾 5. Chase Waterfalls
Hidden Falls Regional Park (parking reservation is required on weekends and holidays) or Phantom Falls (Feb–April)
🚴 6. Bike rides along the river on the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail 32 miles trail with river views, picnic areas (March–May)
