Research is showing promising results for red light therapy and eye health, especially for conditions like age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic eye disease. In fact, low-level light therapy has already been approved in Europe and Latin America for AMD treatment! ✨ What the Studies Show: ✔️ Improves visual acuity – Helps people see further down the vision chart ✔️ Supports retinal health – May slow down diseases that lead to vision loss ✔️ Potential to restore eyesight – Research suggests it could not only prevent vision decline but actually help restore clarity This is a major breakthrough for eye health! While more studies are ongoing, the potential of red light therapy to protect and enhance vision is exciting. Stay tuned for more insights on how red light therapy is shaping the future of wellness! #redlighttherapy #eyehealth #wellness #visionsupport #healing

Night-shift workers may lose up to 15 years of lifespan — and it’s one of the most shocking findings in modern sleep science. Dr. Allison Brager, a leading neuroscientist and sleep researcher, explains that massive epidemiological studies consistently show night or rotating shift workers face: • Up to 15 years shorter lifespan • Higher rates of multiple cancers • Worse long-term health across every major system Even the World Health Organization classifies shift work as a Group 2A carcinogen — meaning circadian disruption likely increases cancer risk. Why? Because when you live opposite your biology, you fight millions of years of evolution. Your internal clock controls hormones, metabolism, immune response, DNA repair, and inflammation. Break that rhythm long enough, and the body wears down. What counts as shift work? • 11 p.m. → 7 a.m. schedules • Overnight rotations • Chronic late-night patterns that misalign the sleep–wake cycle This isn’t about blaming workers. It’s about recognizing the stakes — and pushing for better workplace policies, proper light exposure, protected sleep windows, and real recovery strategies. Your biology isn’t optional. It’s the foundation your health stands on. Follow @proj3ctcognition to stay productive . . . . #Health #brain #fitness #fit

🐶 Dogs have an incredible sense of routine. Studies show they can track time using circadian rhythms and scent decay, meaning they literally smell how long you’ve been gone. Most dogs begin their “waiting behavior” at roughly the same time each day because they’ve learned exactly when their owner usually returns. When you break that pattern by arriving from a different direction, the surprise reaction is genuine because their entire expectation system gets flipped. The pure joy in that moment of recognition is something only a dog can deliver. (Via @lifewithmacyandtay via Collab) #wholesome #pubity

🌟 Creatine & Breastfeeding: What You Need to Know 🌟 🚨‼️ Share this with your momma fitness friends! 🍼 I’ve been getting lots of questions about creatine. I don’t have all the answers — studies on women’s health are seriously lacking (no surprise there). But based on what I’ve read and experienced, here’s what I’ve found! 🔍 Key Points: 🚨‼️💦 Hydration Is KEY: Creatine requires extra water—aim for about 1/3 more than your usual intake. Most people already struggle to stay hydrated, and breastfeeding increases that need even more. If you’re finding it hard to hit your water goals (especially during the sleep-deprived newborn stage), you might consider waiting until milk demand decreases. But if you’re already a hydration pro, you’re likely good to go! 💧 🍼 Natural Presence in Breast Milk: Creatine is naturally found in breast milk and supplies about 9% of an infant’s daily needs. But what happens when you supplement? [Source: Mihatsch et al., Nutrients, 2024] 🔎🤔 Uncertainties: While creatine is generally safe to take, there are a few potential concerns. It could affect infant creatinine levels, which may impact babies with conditions like recurring UTIs, CAKUT, Polycystic Kidney Disease, or those who’ve experienced Acute Kidney Injury. 🚼 📚 What the Studies Show: Creatine helps protect babies in the womb from low oxygen, supporting better brain and body development. For moms, it could boost energy and aid postpartum recovery. But, there’s still not enough research on its safety while breastfeeding (because of the lack of studies done!!!) 👉 My Conclusion: If I called you out in point 1 and you struggle with water intake, creatine might not be for you—yet. BUT, if you’re willing to prioritize hydration, start there. Nail your water goals first. Then, if you’re healthy, had a complication-free pregnancy, your baby is thriving, no kidney conditions in both mom and baby, and you’re intentional with hydration and food… you’re likely a good candidate. ✨ 💬 DM me about my 1:1 coaching! I’ll help you get confident in your choices and feel amazing in your body — no guesswork needed. #creatine #creatineformoms #breastfeeding #creatinewhilebreastfeeding

Babies do not need to “learn” how to sleep. They already know how to do it. The Biological Fact: studies show that in the last two months of pregnancy, a fetus sleeps for 90% of the time. They do it effortlessly because they are in an environment that is perfectly contained, rhythmic, and 100% safe. Then they are born, and the culture tells us: “Just put them down, they need to learn independence.” And when they protest, we are bombarded with toxic myths: - “He is manipulating you.” - “You are creating a bad habit.” - “If you pick her up, she will never learn.” Here is the truth: sleep is a vulnerable state. To fall asleep, a human being (adult or baby) must switch off their internal alarm system. For a baby, the only signal that turns off that alarm is Proximity. They aren’t fighting sleep. They are fighting separation. Your closeness isn’t a “crutch.” It is the biological requirement for their nervous system to down-regulate. If you want to fix sleep, stop withdrawing support and start offering safety. I’ll handle the science, you handle the cuddles. 💕 –––––––– Do you want to understand what “Safety” means for YOUR child? It’s not the same for everyone. Some need touch, some need silence, some need movement. Decode their unique needs with the Decoder Quiz inside my Starter Kit. Comment SURVIVAL and I’ll send you the link to the Kit. –––––––– I’m Chiara, and I don’t do sleep training. I decode your child’s sensory code to fix family sleep. It’s the neuroscience-backed approach I’ve used to help over 100k families in Europe finally find peace at night. @chiara.baiguini Credit: Unknown (DM for credit)

🔍 Why Iron Matters: ✅ Brain Function: Iron is crucial for the production of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in attention and behaviour. Low levels of dopamine are often linked to ADHD symptoms. ✅ Energy Levels: Iron helps transport oxygen to the brain and muscles, boosting energy and reducing fatigue. More energy means better focus and mood! ✅ Cognitive Development: Adequate iron supports cognitive functions such as learning, memory, and concentration. ✅ Sleep Quality: Iron helps regulate neurotransmitters that control sleep cycles. Better iron levels can improve sleep quality, leading to more restful nights. ✅ Appetite Control: Iron is involved in the regulation of hunger hormones. Proper iron levels can help maintain a healthy appetite, ensuring your child gets the nutrients they need. 📊 Studies Show: Research indicates that children with ADHD often have lower iron levels. Improving iron levels when inadequate therefore does help improve attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, sleep, and appetite. #ADHD #IronForKids #BrainHealth #kidsnutritionist #integrativenutrition #adhdalternativenutrition #naturaladhdsolutions #NutritionalBiochemistry

🥧 Happy Pi Day, everyone! 🍏Today, Apple Pie is our topic—should it be prepared with just the flesh or with skin + flesh, and why? 🍎 Apple Skin Vs. Flesh: The Nutrition Debate! Have you ever wondered what the healthiest part of an apple is? An apple a day might keep the doctor away, but only if you keep the peel on! Apple skin contains up to 28% more polyphenols than the flesh (PMID: 29364189). 📊 Key Findings: According to Kschonsek et al., 2018, the total polyphenols determined by HPLC ranged from 99.6 ± 5.4 to 495.3 ± 44.0 mg/100 g in the peel, whereas the flesh had a 3.0 to 28.4 times lower content (9.6 ± 0.6 to 41.6 ± 2.3 mg/100 g). These results are comparable with other investigations (Lata et al., 2009; Tsao et al., 2003; Petkovsek et al., 2007). 🍏 Apple Peel: The Nutrition Star! According to Healthline, a raw apple with skin boasts: • 332% more vitamin K (That’s a lot of kickin' K!) • 142% more vitamin A (A is for apple AND awesome!) • 20% more calcium (Bones of steel, anyone?) • 19% more potassium (Goodbye, leg cramps!) 📚 Studies Show: The peel is packed with polyphenols and antioxidants, making it the true star of the show. Vitamins, minerals, and fiber—oh my! Here's a list of the nutritional goodness in the peel: • Vitamin A, C, E, K • Calcium, Potassium, Phosphorus • Fiber, Folate, Iron 🥧 Pie Lovers: For the healthiest and most flavorful apple pie, keep that skin on! The peel adds texture, nutrients, and a whole lot of pizzazz. Besides, why peel away all those amazing benefits? Apples are a fantastic source of dietary fiber, essential vitamins, and minerals. So, let's celebrate Pi Day with a nutritious and fun twist! 🍏🥧 Share your thoughts: Apple pie with just the flesh or with the skin + flesh? #PiDay #ApplePie #Nutrition #HealthyEating #AppleSkinVsFlesh #PieLovers #HealthBenefits #apple #fitness #polyphenols #antioxidant References: 1.
