Stop boiling your beets 🛑 Do this instead For years I boiled my beets… until I realized how much easier, tastier, and healthier they are when roasted. No babysitting a pot on the stove. Just place them in the oven and let them do their thing. They peel effortlessly and the flavor is incredible. A beloved holiday salad passed down from my late mother-in-law and my husband’s sisters. There isn’t a holiday table without it. Ingredients • 4 beets, scrubbed clean • ½ red onion, finely diced • 1 bunch parsley, chopped • 2 garlic cloves, minced • ¼ cup olive oil • ⅓ cup white distilled vinegar • Juice of 1 large lemon • 2 tsp salt • 1 tsp black pepper You will also need: foil and parchment paper Instructions 1. Wash the beets well, scrubbing the skins since they can be quite dirty even though we remove the peel later. 2. Lay a sheet of foil on a baking tray and place a sheet of parchment paper on top. (This keeps the foil from touching the beets.) 3. Place the beets on the tray and roast in a 400°F oven for about 1 hour, sometimes up to 1½ hours, until a knife slides in easily. 4. Let them cool slightly, then peel using your hands, a knife, or even under running water. The skins come right off. 5. Slice or chop the beets however you like and place them in a bowl. 6. Add the diced red onion and chopped parsley. 7. Add the minced garlic, olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. 8. Toss gently and taste for seasoning. Super food fruit ring gummies 🍊🍓 Sea moss is a mineral-rich whole food containing many essential trace elements the body needs. Ingredients • 250 ml fresh juice (orange + strawberry 🍊🍓 or your favourite) • 3 tbsp seamoss gel • 2–3 tbsp agave or honey • 2 tbsp agar agar powder (use powder, not flakes for best texture) Method Soak seamoss overnight, rinse well & blend into a smooth gel. In a pan, add juice + seamoss + sweetener + agar powder and whisk off the heat until completely smooth (this prevents clumps). Let it sit for 10 minutes so the agar can activate and hydrate properly this step gives your gummies the perfect firm texture. Then place on low heat, stirring gently until it slightly thickens. ⚠️ Do not boil !high heat weakens agar and your gummies won’t set properly. Pour into molds or a flat tray and let set at room temp. Once firm, leave them out for a couple of hours to slightly dry the surface. Optional: toss in a little sugar + citric acid for a sour candy finish 🍋 Store in the fridge and enjoy as a daily functional treat ✨ I always recommend doing your own research and adjusting the daily amount to your body’s needs #gummies #superfood #healthyrecipes #naturalgummies

This is NOT chia seed pudding… This is aleev (halim) kheer — India’s own iron-rich superfood dessert 🤍 Aleev seeds are naturally rich in iron and folate, traditionally consumed to support hormonal balance and strength, especially during postpartum recovery. In many Indian homes, this kheer is given to new mothers as a nourishing, rebuilding food. Recipe (1–2 servings): • 30g aleev seeds • 130g water (for soaking) • 4 tbsp jaggery (adjust to taste) • 1 tsp cardamom + nutmeg powder • 2–2.5 cups milk Please note that these measurements are for a minimum of 8 servings. Consume in moderation. Soak aleev seeds in water for 30 minutes until they swell. In a pan, add jaggery and the soaked aleev seeds and roast gently. Add cardamom and nutmeg powder. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly (important before adding milk). Add milk, mix well, and serve chilled.
