Hi! I’m Jordyn! 👋🏻 Here’s why I became a travel creator ⬇️ In 2010, I went door to door selling homemade scrapbooks to raise enough money to go on an international school trip. Honestly, that trip gave me the travel bug & changed my life. I didn’t leave the country again until 2019 where I left to Study Abroad in Luxembourg 🇱🇺 But even though living abroad was my dream, in 2020, I was forced to come back to the US because of the pandemic 🦠 At that point, I was really at a loss for what to do. I wanted to keep traveling, but I wasn’t sure when we would be able to leave the country again. So we did the only thing we could think of… We bought a shuttle bus & converted it to a tiny home on wheels! After spending the hot Phoenix Summer converting the bus 🥵 We traveled to 10 states & 11 national parks 🚌 In 2022, I planned a trip to revisit all of the places I had gone on my first international trip… Along the way, I fell in love with international travel again & started taking videos to document my travels. For the next year, I dedicated myself to creating educational travel videos so that I could inspire others and share everything that I had learned about travel. ✈️ I enjoyed this so much that in 2023, I left my full time job to chase this crazy dream. My mission is to make travel as accessible as possible for as many people that are willing to learn – no matter the budget! 2025 is going to be epic ⬇️ Whether you’re new here or have been following me for a while, I just have to say THANK YOU! ✨😍 You may not know this, but I quit my 9-5 in March 2024. I was disillusioned, unsure what to do with my life, and had a bunch of passions I had been pursuing as hobbies (one of which being photography) for nearly a decade. ⌛ So, I decided it was finally time to stop wallowing in self-pity and do something about it. I began to share my passions on here and I couldn’t believe what happened next! 🥳 I went from having a few friends following my journey to nearly TEN THOUSAND of you who are, for some reason, kinda interested in seeing more I guess?!? 🥅 This year, I have some massive goals, and I’m so excited for some of the plans I’ve already made. This is it, make or break. I want to fully solidify myself as a content creator because it allows me to pursue my passions while also taking control of my life. Thank you again for taking an interest in my journey, and I hope I can continue inspiring fellow nature frothers to get out there and experience + look after the amazing planet we live on. There are only a handful of truly pivotal moments in your life which cause you to stray from the tracks you’re on and forge a completely new path.. The YouTube algorithm showing us this thumbnail was our moment ✨ For years we worked okay jobs, making okay money. We did the smart thing, saved for the future and when we weren’t too exhausted, we tried to enjoy the weekend. Then some family closest to us started to show signs of a cognitive decline, it hit us. These people did the smart things, they worked okay jobs for okay money and saved for the future. Then as soon as they reached the age that they were supposed to enjoy their retirement.. That possibility was ripped from them in the form of Young Alzheimers and Early-onset dementia (the same, yet somehow different diseases). Not only were they unable to live the life they planned anymore, but their memories were slowly torn away from them. It was in this moment that we came across @karaandnate Swiss Alps Tiny Home video We saw a couple like us who were somehow financially sustaining themselves by traveling the world and making memories! 🤯 It clicked. Adventure. Travel. Fun & Memories that couldn’t be taken away. We’ve now been traveling and filming our adventures for two years and those closest to us - couldn’t be prouder. I have been at this for so long, but I still feel like I am getting no where. I reach out to brands for collabs, and don't ever get anywhere. My passion is hiking with my dogs, and if I can encourage others to do the same, it would be amazing. My dream is to work with travel boards everywhere we go. We already travel fulltime, why not make a living from it and help my family pay the bills while having fun? #tcpchallenge

“How do you make money to travel?” Well there is no simple answer. But here are some ways 👇🏼 1. User-generated content. This is content I capture and send to brands so they can use it. This content can be raw footage or can be an edited reel. I don’t even have to post about the product or service! 2. Tourism boards / events. I just went to an event last weekend actually! Companies can invite you to their event, town, lodge, etc to capture content & spread awareness of their business. 3. Work with brands. I’ve worked with several brands & they truly give me more of an opportunity to travel and explore! Creators capture photos and videos and post about the product or service. 4. Full time job. Perhaps the more common answer is a full time job. I work Monday to Friday! 5. Affiliate links. Each time you click an affiliate link and shop from someone’s story the creator receives a commission % from that purchase. Depending how big the creator is and the percentage, this $$ could be very impactful. 6. Social media apps! TT and Instagram sometimes pays creators directly for posting, engaging, and having a strong following. In first grade, I made up entire dance routines, in 5th grade, I wrote my own short stories, in middle school, I went to acting school, and in high school, I composed my own songs on my guitar. I know…. all over the place. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The point is, I was always creating. 🎥 It didn’t matter what medium I used, I was always drawn to create SOMETHING from inspiration, feeling, emotion, and life. This platform has allowed a space where I can share mediums that I am currently playing with. That is, photography, outdoor travel, filmmaking, mindfulness, and storytelling. 🥾🏔️🌱🎥📸 💭To me, being a creator means creating what I WANT. I can share the love of these passions in a way that feels true to me: 💭🌱✨ I value mindfulness, so my content revolves around mindful travel & gratitude. 🎥📸📝 I value cinematography & filmmaking, so my content is storytelling-driven. 🇲🇽🥾 I value more inclusivity & diversity in the outdoor space, so my content usually includes me, a first generation Mexican-American woman exploring these outdoor spaces. Some of you are saving up for the perfect trip. Some of you are scared it’s “too late.” Some of you are just... stuck between what you want and what feels safe. We’ve been there. Honestly, we’re still there. The only difference is, we’ve got 90 days left before this all runs out. We started creating content not because we had it all figured out but because we didn’t. We were starting over. From scratch. And we didn’t want to pretend it was easy or aesthetic or always inspiring. We just wanted to share what it really looks like to rebuild your life from the ground up and still make it your own. That’s what this 90-day challenge is about too. We’re also trying everything right now, every skill, every idea, every chance to keep going. And honestly, these guys from @thecreatorpassport have helped more than they probably know. It’s wild how someone you’ve never met can inspire you just by being real. They reminded us again and again, that this life is possible. A life that doesn’t follow the script.
