BRIf you keep falling out of turns, read this before your next class. ๐๐๐
Falling out of your turns isnโt randomโitโs a chain reaction. Fix the cause, and your turns instantly level up:
โข Your prep is unstable โ If your pliรฉ is wobbly, your turn has no chance. Control the down before the up.
โข Youโre not fully over your standing leg โ Think โstackedโ: ribs over hips, hips over toes. If your weight is off, you will travel or fall.
โข Loose core = lost balance โ Pull up through your center like youโre zipping into tight jeans. Everything lifts.
โข Your passรฉ is lazy โ A low or disconnected passรฉ throws off your axis. Hit a clean, lifted position every time.
โข Spotting too late (or not at all) โ Your head leads the turn. Slow spot = slow, off-balance rotation.
โข Arms are doing too much โ Wild arms = wild turns. Close clean, hold strong.
โข Youโre dropping out instead of finishing โ Stay lifted until the VERY endโmost dancers quit the turn early.
Save this before your next turn combo & come back to it every time you feel off. Consistency in the basics = effortless turns.
