THπ€ What most people do when they begin to prepare for college is ask, βWhat's most impressive to an admissions officer?β π«
This ironically sets them on the path that's going to lead to burnout throughout high school. They sacrifice fun, friends, and sleep to get the highest GPA possible, and have lots of extracurricular activities and advanced classes. But even if they are successful and become the most impressive student in the entire school, when they finish, they will discover that there are 30,000 high schools in N. America. Because they were so busy throughout high school, they didnβt have time to be curious or to explore what mattered most to them. Their application looks like the other 30,000 valedictorians.
But preparing for college can be about becoming the kind of person that people want to be around, who solves problems when they face them, who is responsible and can solve problems that matter to them.
