It's been about 7 months since my TMS therapy and I just wanted to give an update. I received a lot of comments and questions so I thought I would address them below.
I'm still receiving and maintaining the benefit I received during the therapy. My anxiety, depression, migraines and brain fog have improved as well as improved cognition and coordination. I feel sharper.
The negative parts of the experience were the vibration caused my cervical dystonia to be inflamed. Therefore I would caution anyone that has neck issues. The other negative was the time and frequency required for the treatment was long.

I started TMS therapy 5 weeks ago. I'm having improvements each session. I even felt different after the first treatment. I asked the doctor if that was normal and he said it can happen but usually requires about 2 weeks of treatment before a person notices a difference.
I have to wear a felt cap that fits snug. Then the metal magnet apparatus is placed over the cap and pulses are sent once a minute for about 5 seconds for 20 minutes. Each appointment usually requires a five to 10% increase in the intensity of the pulses. It depends on the person but it usually requires 36 sessions.
The pulses are directed at the temples and the e top of the head. It doesn't hurt but it's uncomfortable but so far I think it's worth it. However, it's a big time commitment as it's 36 separate 20 minute sessions and I do feel very tired afterwards.
This treatment was originally designed for drug resistant depression but is now starting to treat anxiety, migraines, sleep disturbances, seizures and FND.
