I’ve been DJing for 2 years… would you recommend producing?” My answer is always yes. Producing helps you properly understand music, develop your own sound, and opens up way more opportunities as an artist. If you’re ready to take that next step, drop me a message or check out The Sound Lab to start learning.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to work on a wealth of projects, with artists of different mediums, in a variety of spaces. As a facilitator and someone who helps bring visions to life, I cannot thrive without collaboration and that’s truly where I get the most fulfillment. With that being said, my website is officially back (still adding to the projects section), my books are open and I’m ready to take on some new projects. Whether it be mixing, mastering, sound design, composition, template building, gear / studio consultations, virtual lessons, mix breakdowns or anything in between, I want to assist and fill in the gaps where I can. Feel free to reach out or book a free consultation via the website and we can talk more about what your needs are and how I can help. 🤝🔓

This is one of my favourite moments to witness as a mentor: the exact second it “clicks.” When a producer realises: “I don’t have to guess anymore. I can literally emulate any track I love.” That’s when things change. Arrangement stops feeling confusing. Mixdowns stop dragging on forever. Sound design becomes intentional instead of random. One small shift in workflow = a completely different creative experience. If you want to see the workflow I showed @nour.dj_ just comment "REFERENCE" and I'll send you a full breakdown video free. Or, if you want to work with me one on one, DM me the code 'X99'

One-to-one bespoke music production sessions are the driving force behind The Sound Lab. Every producer faces challenges – whether it’s finishing tracks, improving sound design, tightening arrangements or understanding mixing. Our sessions focus on identifying those specific sticking points and finding the quickest, most effective solutions so you can keep progressing. Nathan first came to The Sound Lab after spending months learning through YouTube tutorials and other online platforms. While that gave him a solid foundation, like many producers he reached a point where progress slowed and the next steps weren’t always clear. Over the past 12 weeks we’ve worked closely on developing his workflow, refining his sound and building the confidence to make stronger creative decisions in the studio. The growth we’ve seen has been superb – from tightening his productions to developing a clearer artistic direction. It’s been great to watch that progress week by week. Big respect to Nathan for putting the work in. Everyone go and give him a follow and support his journey. If you’re serious about improving your music production and want focused, personalised guidance, get in touch to book a one-to-one session with The Sound Lab.

🔓HAD TO STOP GATEKEEPING MYSELF & GO PUBLIC 🤫 After quietly mentoring DJs & producers for a while now, it’s time to open up a few more slots. 🙌🏽 This isn’t like a traditional program. We start by defining the kind of art you want to make, and then we reverse engineer the process. This is for artists who already have the basics down & just need some fine tuning. 🔑 Don’t rack up student loan debt - shoot me a DM and let’s get the conversation started. 🤙🏽 ✌🏽 . . . . #djmentorship #producerguidance #artistdevelopment #StrangeBass

I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time around music production. (& i’ve loved it) Long enough to see patterns. Long enough to make all the mistakes myself. Things new producers constantly underestimate: 1. STEAL STEAL STEAL. “Great artists steal..” or whatever the quote is. Download your favourite artists songs, extract their stems, take their ideas to UNDERSTAND them. THIS is what helps you learn, “Why does that kick punch?” “Where does their bass sit?” Take what you learn, and apply it to your own music. That’s how your own music improves. 2. START FOR FREE. Theres plenty of, free DAWs, free synths, basic wired headphones, it’s more than enough. Elite gear won’t save weak ideas. If your idea sucks, it sucks. $5000 speakers aren’t going to change that. The idea is the breakthrough. Always. 3. COLLABORATE. Creativity isn’t scarce. There’s plenty of space for everyone to create. Different brains expose blind spots fast. Reach out more, even a stab in the dark. Friendships get made from these shared interests. And that’s what it’s all about. 4. CONSISTENCY BEATS TALENT. Progress comes from showing up. Even when tracks don’t land. Even when nothing clicks. Quitting is the ONLY guaranteed failure. Keep going, always. 5. BE DELUSIONAL. Very few people understand creative ambition. So how many people are going to understand your goals… Protect your momentum. Ignore the noise. Be delusional… in a healthy way. 6. GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK. Forcing sessions while fried is useless. Go live. Reset your head. Go to that park, hang out with that friend. You’ll be surprised how much inspiration comes to you when you give yourself a breather. Burnout kills creativity. A break is just as productive as sitting in your producer chair. 7. YOUR TASTE WILL TORTURE YOU. Your ear improves faster than your ability. You hear flaws you can’t yet fix. That gap makes people quit. KNOW it’s progression, not failure. Bad producers don’t hear problems. Developing producers do. Stay long enough and skill catches up. READ ME 👇🔥 Some producers learn fine online. They can watch a video, apply it and execute. Others don’t. They overthink. Second guess. Re-record 12 times. Still don’t post. This retreat is built for the second type. Here’s what actually changes in person. 1. You stop talking for 30 seconds before value. We fix your opener immediately. 2. You stop filming in bad lighting. You see the difference in real time. 3. You stop rambling. We tighten your message on the spot. 4. You stop hiding behind music only. You learn how to speak about your tracks. 5. You stop posting without a call to action. 6. You stop guessing what “good” looks like. You watch other producers film and learn visually. 7. You stop overcomplicating your setup. 8. You stop delaying posting. Because you post in the room. 9. You stop avoiding feedback. You get it. Immediately. 10. You stop building alone. Some people need repetition alone. Some people need a room. Seven other producers. Guest experts. Live feedback. A proper studio environment. You don’t just consume information. You practice it. 10–12 April 2026 Noise Studio Eight places only. If you’re the type who learns better by doing, not just watching… Comment CREATOR and I’ll send you the details.

Fall in love with the process, not just the end goal. You can’t be a master at something if you’ve never done it before — there’s no way around that. You need to accept that you’ll be bad at something you’ve never done before (just like all of us). There’s no shortcut. But you must learn to love it — because in the beginning, no one is cheering for you, and no one is coming to save you. It’s on you to push through burnout and believe in yourself, even when everyone around you doubts you. The only way to keep going is to fall in love with the process — celebrate small wins and appreciate every step forward. A few years from now, you’ll be in a place you can’t even imagine at this point. * @tunnabeatz and I are having our studio sessions on weekly basis, and as 2 guys who managed to turn our hobbies into full time jobs we'd like to share some knowledge and help with advice or perspective if we can - if you have a topic you'd like us to cover let us know in the comments and we'll try to do it! 🙌 #musicproducers #dj #music
