DRTurns out… brushing your teeth isn’t just brushing your teeth 😅
A few things that surprise most of my patients:
🦷 Wait 30 minutes after eating before brushing
🦷 Floss first, then brush
🦷 Brush before washing your face
Why?
After eating, your mouth becomes more acidic, and brushing straight away can actually push that acid into your enamel. Waiting lets your saliva neutralize things first.
Flossing before brushing allows the toothpaste fluoride to reach between the teeth, where cavities love to start.
And brushing before washing your face helps prevent toothpaste residue from irritating your skin around the mouth and chin.
Small changes. Big difference for your teeth (and your skin).
