La nostra mente produce il significato di ciรฒ che guardiamo mescolando segnali Bottom Up (gli stimoli esterni) ai segnali Top Down, frutto delle funzioni cognitive superiori. In pratica noi "percepiamo" visivamente la realtร  che ci circonda, interpretando le immagini in funzione dei nostri ricordi, della cultura e delle esperienze individuali. Now you have a ribcage that can better expand and compress, allowing the diaphragm to pump and down more effectively. You also have a pelvis that is oriented so the pelvic floor muscles have an improved length-tension relationship and can do their job well. Overthinking - part of our anxious brain - connected to states of fight or flight : When we are in the sympathetic& overstimulated in our nervous system itโ€™s like a bicycle ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธgoing down a hill without any brakes๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿฅต - it starts to get out of control and spiral leading eventually to a CRASH ๐Ÿ’ฅ : We can see this in a somatic expression as ๐Ÿ’ฏpanic attacks ๐Ÿ’ฏracing heart and heart rush - sweaty ๐Ÿ’ฏinsomnia ๐Ÿ’ฏpalpitations ๐Ÿ’ฏinability to sit still/feeling jittery ๐Ÿ’ฏOVERTHINKING ๐Ÿ’ฏnot being able to make clear decisions . Itโ€™s like over analyzing every little thing - which really is a protective response to feeling under some sort of threat . If we boil it down to the root - it may look different for each human - but down down down into the core root feeling itโ€™s IM UNSAFE here . Things we can do to calm the over thinking brain is BOTTOM UP approaches - meaning the body first which will@send the message to the brain to calm - as well as some TOP DOWN approaches - brain to body . Think of the nervous system or vagus nerve in this explanation being the highway sending the messages up and down . 1. Movement - shaking - wall sit 2. Orienting - opening your gaze - go outside and look UP at the clouds the trees - get out of the peripherals 3. Lie on floor feet up on wall - 4. Breathing techniques - box breathing or longer exhale counts - inhale thru nose for 4 - slow exhale pursed lips for 8 5. Crying - yes this can be a massive release technique and works quite well mobilizing the stress hormones out 6. Cold water in face - soak your face in a bowl of cold water and deep@exhale with a sigh when you come up. Repeat 3 x 7. Being with sensations and following them throughout the body - witnessing them - instead of identifying with ex. I notice this anxious feeling versus I am anxious ๐Ÿ˜ฅ .
