Mum to mum,do you know how heavy that feels? Smiling at the school run like everything’s fine. Posting like life is good. Saying “we’ll see” instead of “no” because it hurts less. Doing mental maths in the supermarket. Moving money between accounts hoping it buys you a few more days. Lying awake at night wondering how it got this bad. And the worst part? Feeling ashamed. Like you should’ve managed better. Like everyone else has figured it out except you. I genuinely thought this was just adulthood. Work more. Stress more. Hide it better. But deep down I kept thinking, there has to be another way to make money that doesn’t cost me more time away from my kids. Because I didn’t need another job. I needed another stream of income. So I started using the tiny pockets of time I did have. Evenings. 20 minutes here and there. Time I would’ve spent scrolling because I was “too tired.” And different changed everything. I was able to start paying things off. Start breathing again. Start saying yes without that wave of panic. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13 If you’re reading this and your bank balance is stressing you out.
