THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY STICHES AND NOWHERE I HAVE MENTIONED THAT I HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR 2 YEARS!! To reduce underarm pigmentation consistency is literally the only thing that works… and trust me I’ve learned this the hard way. My OG followers would know I had a huge cyst in my underarm that had to be operated on… 11 stitches, super painful and it left behind a lot of pigmentation 🥲 I started using Asaya’s Underarm mist regularly and I’m not even exaggerating when I say it’s been a game changer. But also this is not one of those “7 days miracle” things. Not 10 days, not 20 days. You have to STICK to it. Be consistent please don’t give up midway and I swear you’ll start seeing a BIG difference over time. 💫 . . . {Underarm pigmentation, dark underarms, underarms}

Underarm pigmentation is normal and nothing to be ashamed about. Do save this if you need a reminder and share this with someone else who does too! 1️⃣. I know scrubbing the underarm with home remedies is all over the internet, but this could actually trigger the melanocytes to produce more melanin and make the pigmentation worse. If you’re looking to exfoliate stick to exfoliating body washes like the lactic acid one by @chemistatplay.official or @thedermacoindia @cerave. 2️⃣. Fragrance free deos I’ve tried include @chemistatplay.official & @drunkelephant 3️⃣. Whatever peel you use, note that the effect of it will be quite potent since the underarm skin is a fold and can make the peel more potent. A blueprint routine to follow would be to use a serum with niacinamide, vitamin Cand alpha arbutin after washing the underarm with exfoliating washes. Brands that do similar ones are @dotandkey.skincare @thedermacoindia @paulaschoice . This can be followed up with a soothing moisturiser like the @plumgoodness oil free one or @facetheory gel as hydration is key to help with healing. Using gentle peels like the @drsheths lactic acid or the body serum by @deconstruct_skincare @theordinary lactic acid few times a week in the PM is also greatly beneficial. 3️⃣. I know not everyone has an issue with shaving and shaving doesn’t make the hair thicker. But in some cases, it can lead to ingrowths and since the hair with a razor are cut from the middle & not from the roots, the hair follicles are often visible through the skin, leading for the underarm to ‘appear’ darker. In this case, options like laser, waxing and epilating can greatly minimise this with time. Lastly, I don’t have the most bright underarms and while I am happy to take care of it, I’m not embarrassed of flaunting it. As brown skinned women, due to our darker hair and skin, we are more prone to this & I think pop culture needs to normalise this. Disclaimer - I am not a dermatologist. This video is based on personal trial and research. Please patch test and do your own research before using any of these tips/recommendations.
