MA5 Reasons I Deeply Regret Homeschooling… 🙃
1️⃣ Too much socialization. My girls have friends of all ages, co-ops, and a full life outside these four walls. I was really hoping to raise socially awkward hermits. Missed that one.
2️⃣ No 6 AM alarms. No dragging half-asleep kids out the door, no rushed mornings, no one crying before 7 AM. I really miss the chaos. Said no one ever.
3️⃣ They don’t know what busy work is. They think learning is supposed to be real, hands-on, and actually mean something. Never once sat through 30 pointless worksheets. Tragic.
4️⃣ They never stop learning. “School” ends and they are still asking questions, still exploring, still curious. Turns out curiosity does not clock out at 3 PM. Weird how that works.
5️⃣ I actually like my kids. When they are not exhausted and stressed from a system that was never built for them- they are genuinely fun to be around. Kind of wish someone had told me that sooner.
No regrets. Just freedom, flexibility, and a life we actually chose. ❤️
