Villanova has four admission rounds - Early Decision I, Early Action, Early Decision II and Regular Decision.
Total Applications (28,865) by round:
Early Decision I: 1,227
Early Decision II: 573
Early Action: 18,588
Regular Decision: 8,477
Traditionally, Villanova fills around 50% of its class through ED I & II.
While the overall admit rate was 29.6% this year, the ED rounds typically have a much higher admit rate compared to EA/RD.
Also, the competitive majors have much lower admit rates: Biology, Business, Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience, Mechanical Engineering and Nursing
This year Villanova will be growing their incoming class - target 2,000 - compared to 1,770 last year - with the opening of the Villanova University Cabrini Campus this fall.

Advice for Future Applicants:
🎯 If Villanova is your top choice, applying ED is probably the way to go. Given that Villanova fills more than half of their class through ED, they are being selective and shaping their class with who they accept in the EA & RD rounds.
🔥 Another tip: Since Villanova is a Catholic university rooted in the Augustinian tradition, service is at the heart of its mission and student life. In fact, 83% of admitted students were actively involved in community service during high school.
If you have a strong background in service, be sure to highlight it—Villanova values students who are committed to making a difference and continuing that impact on campus.
