Couple fun facts about #wenzdays if you’ve been getting curious :
1. This week will mark our 22nd consecutive WENZDAY session
2. This is a completely free event open to the entire dance community
3. All choreography is made up on the spot
4. Theres no secret or permission needed to come. our slogan explains itself : ‘IFYKYK’ .
5. ALL mediums of artists are welcome to come, even just to watch , one goal is to get more awareness and eyes on the depth dancers can take our craft from our artistic peers.
6. this was our first WENZDAY with a foundation dance style choreographer.
7. this was our first week featuring 5 choreographers

💡 fun factz about this WENZDAY :
1. this was the first WENZDAYS ever in NJ!!!
2. all three choreographers were born, live, and teach in NEW JERSEY and/or NEW YORK
3. we chose the song (VIVRANT THING by Q-Tip) FIVE minutes before we started
4. the bpm on the song was ONLY 99 which was fine on this occasion since we had plenty of time with three choreographers
5. the hive canceled their senior team rehearsal so they could host
6. i was the only person in the room that had ever attended a WENZDAYS (and now we can add 39 more dancers to the fam!!). i taught first and i really wanted to bring the same vibes i felt when i choreographed at Ian’s garage in LA. i tried to make my piece hype with smooth transitions so all the dancers could really have fun and get their first taste of the loop effect.
7. the textures by JERZEY club legend Rob Bynes had the room oohing and ahhing throughout his session. he also had us dance in a circle at the end and i was having flashbacks to one of Ian’s @monstersdance classes.
8. QUEENS, NY icon Kai Lin nailed the balance of hip hop and litefeet. even though he went last, EVERYONE stayed to witness his genius and they were rewarded with a piece that embodied the essence of the track.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - @ian_eastwood @raiden.h.king - thank you so much for bringing communities all across the globe together by creating an encompassing way for dancers to enjoy this wonderful art form we all love to share ❤️

fun factz about this Wenzday :
1. this was the very first International WENZDAY in Seoul! After HAENI did her first Wenzdays in LA, I told her that I’ll be in Korea for Feb & @ian_eastwood suggested to start one up — then the rest is history! so happy we were able to co-led this amazing session together!
2. this was both JINWOO & INGYOO’s debut to WENZDAY & got everyone hype!
3. we had 35 attendees for its first Wenzdays & started at 10pm!
4. i was first to set the vibes & really wanted to emulate the same energy from back home & the dancers understood the assignment right away
5. WENZDAY towel made its debut overseas 💅
6. JINWOO got the dancers feelin themselves & at this point of the night they all started to loosen up
7. This is HAENI’s 2nd time choreographing a WENZDAY & broke everyone’s brain at this point of the night!
8. INGYOO pushed & broke everyone’s brain even more and added 4 more 8 counts on top of his section. KILLIN DEM BOIIIIS!
9. All the dancers loved the whole experience & the Korea team are beginning their Wenzday sessions BI-WEEKLY!!! Congratulations on your first debut & we can’t wait to see what the rest of the community will cook up! 🔥🧑🍳

Tb to the first ever NJ Wenzdays a few week back!!
Came off of a hiatus of mine, exploring, enjoying other parts of life, and I wasn’t sure how I would feel coming back to the thing I once loved so dearly. But if this day taught me one thing, it’s that that passionate love for dance is still there. This was such a great night for me and I’m very grateful for Wenzdays and the atmosphere it brought out, @ian_eastwood @raiden.h.king @mattygoogs @rob_bynes @kingkai.official @thehivedancestudio thank you 🙏🏼
