This happened at the main gate of Wat Arun, at the shop opposite. They made a huge drama, lied, locked me in, scolded Indians, and even put their hands on my face. Here’s the full story:
I went to Wat Arun and decided to rent a costume for 150 baht, which I paid. Then I asked for makeup products to do my own makeup, and they agreed. After I finished, they suddenly demanded 150 baht more—it was their scam.
When I refused to pay, they threatened to call the police. I said, “Okay, call them. I’ll wait.” I waited for almost an hour. Meanwhile, they locked the main door and didn’t allow me to leave.
When the police finally arrived, the shop changed their story and claimed they hadn’t lied. I asked to see the CCTV footage, which scared them, and they finally admitted the truth. The police supported me, apologized, and even took a picture of me without asking (that’s the last picture).
After everything, the police asked me to delete all videos from my phone, so now I only have this one view from my Insta360 camera. I had lots of footage showing how they treated me, which I also showed to the police, and that’s why they said sorry.
