Anytime, Anywhere…🚕 Taxi Driver (1976) is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle, a Vietnam War veteran working as a taxi driver in New York City who becomes increasingly isolated and troubled. Jodie Foster plays Iris, a young girl caught in exploitation, and Travis becomes obsessed with trying to help her. Cybill Shepherd appears as Betsy, a woman Travis becomes fixated on. The film explores themes of urban isolation, loneliness, mental health struggles, and how desperation can lead to violence. Shot in gritty cinematography by Michael Chapman, Taxi Driver captures the raw reality of 1970s New York. Bernard Herrmann’s haunting score complements the film’s dark mood. Scorsese’s direction creates an unflinching portrait of a man struggling with his inner demons, making Taxi Driver one of cinema’s most honest examinations of isolation and pain.

The Movie That Gets Better and Better at Every Rewatch. Mulholland Drive is one of those movies that reveals something new every time you watch it. The first time through, you’re caught up in the mystery and the drama of it all. But then you watch it again and suddenly details click into place, scenes take on different meanings, and you see connections you missed before. David Lynch creates this intricate puzzle that rewards your attention without ever explaining itself directly. Naomi Watts and Laura Harring have this incredible chemistry that shifts depending on what you know about their characters. The more you rewatch it, the more you appreciate the craft how Lynch plants clues throughout, how he uses the setting of LA and Hollywood to tell a story about dreams and delusion. It’s the kind of film that keeps pulling you back because there’s always something else to discover. That’s what makes it special. Mulholland Drive (2001) is directed by David Lynch and stars Naomi Watts as Betty, an aspiring actress who arrives in Los Angeles and meets Rita (Laura Harring), a woman suffering from amnesia after a car accident. The two form a connection as they try to uncover Rita’s identity, but the film takes increasingly surreal and complex turns as reality blurs with fantasy. Justin Theroux appears as Adam Kesher, a film director caught in his own struggles. The narrative shifts between different timelines and perspectives, creating a layered story about ambition, identity, and the dark side of Hollywood. Shot with stunning cinematography by Peter Deming and featuring an haunting score, Mulholland Drive explores themes of fame, obsession, and the difference between who we are and who we pretend to be. Lynch’s direction creates an atmosphere of mystery and unease that lingers long after the credits roll.

The Darjeeling Limited (2007) is PEAK cinema. Best 90 mins you’ll ever spend. A year after the death of their father, three brothers set out on a train journey across India, in an attempt to reconcile with each other. Their experiences force them to introspect on their lives. Wes Anderson said that Satyajit Ray’s work influenced the film and inspired him to visit India. This film is dedicated to Satyajit Ray.

Jack Nicholson as the Joker in Batman (1989) is just insane. Every time you watch that scene, he’s doing something different, something unexpected. He’s completely committed to making the Joker chaotic and unpredictable. The way he moves, the way he talks, the way he looks at people it’s all calculated chaos. He’s not trying to be a typical villain. He’s having fun with it, enjoying every moment of destruction. Jack Nicholson just commands the screen whenever he’s on it. You can’t look away from him. That’s what makes his performance stick with you even after all these years. Batman (1989) is directed by Tim Burton and stars Michael Keaton as Batman, who has to deal with Jack Nicholson’s Joker trying to destroy Gotham City. Kim Basinger plays Vicki Vale, caught in the middle of everything. Tim Burton creates this dark, twisted version of Gotham that feels real and dangerous. The city itself looks insane everything is exaggerated and Gothic. Danny Elfman’s score is haunting and perfect for the whole vibe. Batman (1989) changed how superhero movies could be made, showing they didn’t have to be cheesy or light. Keaton and Nicholson work so well together because they’re both fully committed to their characters. It’s a film that still holds up because of how seriously it takes itself.
