The Passenger Assistance app lets you book support at train stations in seconds β without phone calls, without explaining everything repeatedly, and without hoping someone will be there.
You create a profile once, select your journey, and station staff are notified in advance so they can assist you getting on, off, or navigating the station.
It works across the entire UK National Rail network and is designed specifically for disabled passengers β including blind and low vision travellers, wheelchair users, and people with non-visible disabilities.
Importantly, this isnβt part of Trainline or ticket apps. Those sell tickets. This communicates your accessibility needs directly to the rail staff who provide assistance.
It was developed with the UK rail industry to remove one of the biggest barriers disabled people face: uncertainty when travelling.
For me, this has made independent train travel significantly easier.
