Because their new parent company, Delta Galil, was listed twice in United Nations reports for doing business in illegal Israeli settlements. Even if the brand still looks “green,” who owns them matters. Delta Galil made nearly $500 million in Q1 2025 alone—and profits can’t come at the cost of human rights. That’s why we no longer support or recommend Organic Basics. Accountability matters.

Did you know that sweatshops still exist (yes, even in the USA)? Some of these factories use human trafficking to employ cheap labor that essentially is paid slave wages. Why do companies do this? Simply put, to turn a profit. How else would they be able to make money by selling clothes cheaply? I am very proud to say that my @byjessicarey swimsuits and clothing are 100% ethically made. We pay fair wages and treat people with dignity and respect.
