To be clear, I think flow has many advantages as a desired state and is worth seeking in various scenarios. Deep work and focus involving friction, however, maybe advantageous for the specific types of productivity most people seek. Fortunately it’s a brain state that can be learned and accessed using specific protocols; these are discussed in the podcast episode.
