Comparison to Reality: WTC Simulation, of how the south tower collapsed on 9/11. The South Tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m., on September 11, 2001. It fell in approximately 10 seconds after burning for 56 minutes, having been struck by United Airlines Flight 175 at 9:03 a.m., at a speed of around 587 miles per hour, 945 km/h. Shock waves from the collapse were so strong, seismic recording devices at Columbia University's observation station 21 miles north of the World Trade Center logged a spike of earthquake-level activity measuring 2.1 on the Richter scale. Clouds of smoke and debris rolled through surrounding streets, causing enormous damage to the area and sending thousands running for their lives. Simulation Credit: Kostack Studio

This is what 4 to 5 floors of the World Trade Center look like after they collapsed. It is called The Meteor. And it has been sitting in a museum in New York ever since. When the towers came down on September 11, 2001, the force of the collapse was so extreme that entire floors compressed into each other. Steel, concrete, office furniture, wiring, glass, everything that made up those floors, fused together under the weight of the building above it and the speed of the fall. What should have been thousands of individual objects became one solid, unrecognisable mass. Workers excavating the World Trade Center site found several of these formations during the cleanup operation. They were so dense and so compressed that they looked like something that had fallen from space, which is why they were named The Meteor. This particular piece weighs approximately 58 tonnes. It is roughly 4 metres wide. If you look closely you can still make out fragments of what used to be ordinary office materials. Pieces of filing cabinet. Wiring. Structural steel that once held up floors where thousands of people worked every morning. It is now a permanent exhibit at the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York, where it sits in a room designed specifically to hold its weight. The museum also displays the Last Column, a 36 foot steel beam that was the final piece of the World Trade Center removed from the site. Workers signed it, left mementos on it, and held a ceremony when it was removed in May 2002, eight months after the attack. 2,977 people died that morning. The Meteor is what remains of the building they were in. Never forget. #historyfact #didyouknow #crazyfact #WorldTradeCenter #History

The 9/11 attacks on September 11, 2001, saw al-Qaeda hijack planes, hitting the World Trade Center and Pentagon, killing ~3,000. Some conspiracy theories claim the U.S. government was involved to justify wars, suggesting controlled demolitions or prior knowledge. Official reports deny this, but doubts remain, keeping the event controversial and widely discussed even today. #usa #911 #memes #fyp #explore

One of the most debated questions surrounding 9/11 involves physics. Some engineers and architects have argued that the collapses of the World Trade Center buildings appeared to occur at near free-fall speeds. Others say the collapses are fully explained by structural damage, fire, and the progressive failure of the buildings. The debate has continued for years among researchers, investigators, and the public. What do you think explains the physics behind what happened? #911history #worldtradecenter #hiddenhistory #conspiracies #engineeringdebate

September 11 attacks The attacks of September 11, 2001 caused immense human loss and physical destruction, especially at the World Trade Center in New York. In the aftermath, one of the many complex issues that arose was how insurance claims were handled and who received compensation for the damage. The World Trade Center complex had recently been leased by developer Larry Silverstein just weeks before the attacks. His company held insurance policies on the buildings, and after their destruction, a major legal dispute began over how the attacks should be classified. Silverstein argued that the two planes striking the Twin Towers constituted two separate events, which would allow for a larger insurance payout. After years of legal proceedings with multiple insurance companies, a settlement was reached. In total, around $4.5 billion was paid out to Silverstein Properties to help rebuild the site. These funds were not simply profit; much of the money was used for reconstruction, debt obligations, and related costs tied to the property. Beyond property insurance, there were also compensation efforts for victims and their families. The U.S. government established the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, which provided billions of dollars to those affected by the attacks, helping families cope with loss and financial hardship. It is important to note that while insurance payouts were large, they were part of a system designed to cover catastrophic loss, not to reward tragedy. The events of 9/11 led to major changes in how terrorism risks are insured and how governments and insurers share responsibility for such extreme events. In conclusion, the financial aftermath of 9/11 involved complex insurance settlements and compensation programs. While significant sums were paid, they were largely directed toward rebuilding, recovery, and supporting those affected by one of the most devastating events in modern history.

The 9/11 Attacks in 2001 πŸ™οΈ On September 11, 2001, the United States faced one of the most devastating attacks in its history. Terrorists hijacked commercial airplanes and targeted the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Arlington. The planes crashed into the Twin Towers, causing massive explosions and fires that weakened the structures. Within hours, both towers collapsed, sending debris across the city and creating chaos. Emergency responders rushed in to help survivors, risking their lives in extremely dangerous conditions. The scale of destruction shocked the entire world. The attacks reshaped global security, aviation protocols, and international relations, becoming one of the most defining moments in modern American history. #911 #usa #history #tragedy #disaster

Building 7- Things that don't make sense about 9/11 (pt 1) The collapse of building 7 seems like a controlled demolition. Unlike the twin towers, World Trade Center building 7 was never hit by a plane It fell because 2 small office fires caused 1 structural collum to come off it's seat This somehow caused the building to fall at freefall speed into it's own footprint with 0 resistance- all the classic signs of a controlled demo Almost every structural engineer who has looked at this has said the same thing Also the BBC reported on the buildings collapse 25 minutes before it happened
