Every year on St. Patrick’s Day, people around the world celebrate Ireland — our culture, history and deep connection to the land. For those of us at Alltech, it’s a moment to reflect on the Irish heritage that shaped our values of friendship, passion and storytelling. In that spirit, we’re excited to share the teaser for World Without Cows Ireland: The Pasture Paradox, our latest storytelling journey, this time in the Emerald Isle — one of the world’s most efficient pasture-based dairy systems. This new mini-documentary, which will be released in April, explores how Irish farmers are navigating the tension between meeting global demand for grass-fed dairy and protecting the land and water that sustain it. It’s part of our broader effort to cultivate conversations through World Without Cows — helping curious people better understand the role agriculture plays in nourishing the world. Follow @worldwithoutcows, and sign up to be among the first to see the mini-documentary: WorldWithoutCows.com/Ireland Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

To introduce the Scottish Organic Action Plan, which launched in January, we had the pleasure of visiting three organic businesses in Scotland. It was great to speak to Jill Clark at @connagecheese, which has been organic certified since 1993, to find out more about the business and its processes. In the video below, Jill tells us how the inspiration for becoming an organic farm was care for the animals, sustainability and the environment. You can find out more in our organic video series, and by downloading the Scottish Organic Action Plan via the link in our bio.

Shocking pictures have emerged showing poor animal welfare, pollution and raw sewage on a state-run farm in Northern Ireland. When setting new legislation, Government has always worked in cooperation with the farming sector. In 2025 the department for environment and agriculture decided to cut those ties and move closer to EU legislation. In order to prove it was working the department used a government funded farm AFBI to produce evidence. It now appears the practices on the farm have been called into question. GB News' Dougie Beattie investigates the accusations. AFBI declined an interview, but have previously said they undertook an “extensive and thorough investigation” after concerns were raised which included external inspections by DAERA, the Northern Irish Environment Agency and Red Tractor. They stated the material presented related to incidents over a period of approximately three years and that they were “aware of many of these incidents when they originally occurred and were content that they had been previously dealt with appropriately” but they were further investigated and “the outcomes of the inspections, investigations and audits were positive”. They strenuously refute any suggestions of poor farming practices. #Farm #NorthernIreland #Agriculture #uknews #GBNews
