MOHoy no es solo sobre olas. Es sobre respeto.
Respeto al compromiso absoluto, a la entrega total, al valor de quienes eligen estar en la peor posición posible… esperando lo mejor del océano.
Mientras muchos entran con tablas grandes en días pesados, los bodyboarders estamos allá abajo, en el lugar incómodo, en el lugar peligroso, donde el margen de error prácticamente no existe. Con 41 o 42 pulgadas bajo el pecho, remando más fuerte, más tarde, más profundo… apostándolo todo por una sola ola.
Mi admiración hoy es para Isaac Cruz. @isaa_pxm
Por el valor de meterse en una de las bombas del día.
Por hacerlo sin chaleco, sin protección extra, solo con determinación pura.
Por asumir el riesgo como parte del camino.
Y por ese wipeout heavy… de esos que no se explican, solo se sienten.
Y aún así, salir tranquilo, como si nada.
Eso no es suerte.
Eso es compromiso.
Eso es respeto por el mar.
Eso es bodyboarding.

Today isn’t just about waves. It’s about respect.
Respect for total commitment, for the courage to sit in the most dangerous spot… waiting for the best the ocean has to offer.
While many paddle out on big boards on heavy days, bodyboarders are down there, deeper, later, with less margin for error. With just 41 or 42 inches under our chest, pushing harder to make it, to earn it.
My respect today goes to Isaac Cruz.
For taking on one of the heaviest waves of the day.
No vest. No extra protection. Just pure determination.
For embracing the risk.
And for that heavy wipeout… the kind you don’t explain, you feel.
And still coming up calm, like nothing happened.
That’s not luck.
That’s commitment.
That’s respect for the ocean.
