Desde que empence a pescar profundo mi objetivo y mayor disfrute era pescar abaes en profundidades entre 35 a 40m. Llegar a la marca sondar y ver si habia carnada, donde estaba, si habia corriente... para después preparar la bajada remolcandome hasta que el barquero me dijera el 0, bajar disparar, soltar cinto y subir cerrando el carrete para no enrocarlo. Pero cuando conocí a @davidochoapt ochoa encontré un nuevo reto pescar los dogtooth tuna, que casualmente a los sitos que he ido con él, también están en drops profundos, con muchisma corriente y plagado de tiburones. La diferencia principal es que estos bichos tienen una potencia incomparable incluso con pescados que triplican su tamaño hundiendo hasta 3 boyas riffe tras su disparo. Pues este viaje a latham no iba a ser diferente y con el hándicap añadido de decidir entre bajar a peso variable mas de 35m y usar un carrete o bajar en peso constante y usar sistema brake away con la varilla directa a la boya. Finalmnete decidimos pescar con peso constante a mas de 35m y sitema brake away, lo cual facilitaba el no enredarnos, pero suponía mayor exigencia física. Todo un arte esta pesca, te deja a 300m del drop el barquero, vas oyendo cuando te vas acercando por el sonido del arrecife y calcular cuando bajar, para después tener que bajar profundo y encontrar un paraiso de dogtooth, disparar evitar que la linea se te enrede y subir para trabajar el pescado antes que se enrede con el arrecife y pierdas todo. Esto es lo que me enamora de este deporte que nunca es lo mismo y siempre encuetras nuevos retos, ahora solo queda pensar en cuando volveré a ver a estos animales tan increibles.

CAPara los abaes desconfiados muchas veces es necesario un fusil con largo alcance de tiro y para estas situaciones el orca l V115 es mi joyita. Cuantas alegrías me da este fusil en este tipo de situaciones que de otra manera solo podría verlo pasar como en esta ocasión que en 42m nadar lo menos posible es lo mas sensato.
