MAIf you’re flooding the cuticle as a beginner, the issue isn’t placement. It’s acrylic ratio.
Acrylic ratio goes beyond “liquid to powder.”
It’s understanding how much powder your monomer can properly absorb.
• Runny bead = too much monomer
• Dry bead = not enough monomer
Acrylic application is problem-solving in real time.
When the product starts moving, you don’t wipe it away. You control it through placement, timing, and brush angle.
Swiping is only appropriate once the acrylic has begun to set — never while it’s wet.
Education order matters:
1. Learn acrylic ratio
2. Then learn shaping
It’s not your fault if it wasn’t taught clearly.
But growth requires unlearning what doesn’t serve you.
