Your brain is not “bad at studying”… You’re just using methods that don’t match how memory actually works 🧠📉 If you keep forgetting everything you study, this is the system that fixes it before exams 👇 ✅ Forgetting Curve Hack 📉 🔸 Revise within 24 hours of learning anything 🔸 Then repeat after 3 days, then 7 days 🔸 Each revision should be faster than the last 🔸 This locks information into long-term memory ✅ Active Recall Switch 🔁 🔸 Close your notes after studying 🔸 Write everything you remember on paper 🔸 Check what you missed (this is your weak zone) 🔸 Memory improves only when you struggle to recall ✅ Blurting Method 📝 🔸 Study a topic once 🔸 Take a blank page and “dump” everything you know 🔸 Compare with notes and fill gaps 🔸 Repeat until your page gets fuller each time ✅ Interleaving Technique 🔄 🔸 Don’t study one subject for hours 🔸 Mix 2–3 topics in one session 🔸 Brain learns better by switching contexts 🔸 This improves problem-solving in exams ✅ Mistake Journal 📒 🔸 Write every mistake you make 🔸 Add WHY you got it wrong 🔸 Revise only mistakes before exams 🔸 This alone can boost your score massively ✅ Memory Boost Habits ⚡ 🔸 Study right before sleep (better retention) 🔸 Use spaced repetition, not cramming 🔸 Test yourself more than you read 🔸 Keep distractions away during recall sessions Forgetting is normal. Not fixing it is the real problem. Top students don’t have better memory… They just use better systems ✨ Follow @starbeanies for smarter study methods & exam strategies 📚🤍 🏷️:: #studytips #examstrategy #learninghacks #activerecall #spaced repetition studywithme studentlife studygram productivitytips studymotivation memoryhacks examready boardexams revisiontips focusmode deepwork pomodoro selfstudy studysmart notesharing aistudy chatgptstudy studentmotivation examhack

“I try but I can’t retain any info” - but have you tried these⬇️ If you’re studying for hours but forgetting everything days later, it’s not that you’re bad at learning - you’re just using the wrong methods! Here are 5 science-backed techniques that actually work for retaining information: Active recall → Stop re-reading your notes! Close your textbook and force yourself to remember the information without looking. Quiz yourself constantly. Research shows this DOUBLES retention compared to passive re-reading. If you can’t explain it without your notes, you don’t actually know it yet. Spaced repetition → Cramming doesn’t work because your brain forgets quickly. Instead, review material at increasing intervals: review today, again in 3 days, then a week later, then 2 weeks. Apps like Anki automate this. Each time you successfully recall info, you strengthen that memory! Practice questions over pretty notes → I wasted so much time making color-coded notes that looked amazing but didn’t help in exams. Do past papers and practice questions instead - they show you what you actually need to know and how to apply it under pressure. Teach it to someone else → The act of teaching forces your brain to organize info more comprehensively. Explain concepts out loud (even to yourself or a rubber duck haha). If you can’t teach it clearly, you’ve found your knowledge gaps! Sleep properly → Your brain consolidates memories during sleep. Studies show students who get enough sleep retain significantly more than those who cram all night. Stop pulling all-nighters - you’re literally preventing your brain from storing the info you just studied! The problem isn’t that you can’t retain information - it’s that most people are never taught HOW to actually learn. Try these methods and watch how much better your memory gets! #studytips #activerecall #studysmart #retention #studentlife

I failed my first physics exam with a 63 because I was studying it like biology. Rereading notes. Memorizing formulas. Treating it like information I just needed to remember. That doesn’t work for physics. Physics isn’t about memorization. It’s about application. If you’re trying to turn your physics grade around, follow @predent.student. I’m breaking down the exact methods that took me from a 63 on my first exam to an A minus in Physics 1 and 2. I went to office hours and my professor showed me what actually works. Here’s what the video didn’t cover. 🧠 The Real Problem Most students study physics by reviewing notes and hoping formulas stick. But physics requires you to actively retrieve information and apply concepts to problems. If you’re not forcing your brain to extract and use what you learned, you’re not actually learning. You’re just reviewing. 📚 Where to Find Practice Problems Search “[Your University] + [Course Code]” on Google. For me, it was “UNC PHYS 114” and I found old exams from past semesters. Your professor might also give practice exams. Upload those into ChatGPT or other AI tools to generate more practice problems based on the same format. 🔄 What Changed My Entire Approach Physics taught me the importance of active recall. It forced me to stop looking back at notes and start retrieving information from my brain. That mindset shift carried into every other class. It’s part of how I went from a 3.2 to a 3.7 GPA. 💡 If You Just Failed Your First Physics Exam I’ve been there. Got a 63 on my first one. Here’s your immediate next step: go to office hours like I did. Learn from the professor. Start implementing the 4 Ds now. Practice physics every single day. Review the problems you got wrong. You still have the rest of the semester to turn it around. - #physics #studytips #collegelife #activerecall #studymethods
#Active Recall Reel by @creating.plans - If you finish studying a chapter and immediately forget what you read the next day, you're probably studying passively.

If you finish studying a chapter and immediately forget what you read the next day, you’re probably studying passively. This is Day 5 of my CA Study Series, and today’s takeaway is Active Recall. Active recall simply means testing yourself on what you studied instead of just re-reading it. There are two times during the day when I recommend you do active recall. First, at the end of the day. Before you finish studying, quickly go through everything you studied that day and try to writing the key points without looking at your notes. Then compare what you wrote with the actual notes and mark whatever you got wrong. Second, at the beginning of the next day. Before you start studying new topics, take a few minutes to recall what you studied the previous day. This helps your brain strengthen memory and retain information much longer. Because the goal is not just to read more; the goal is to remember more. Follow along for Day 6 ❤️ #examtips #activerecall #castudy #cacscma #caexam
