7 steps I’m Following👇🏻 If you have ADHD and goal-setting feels like pulling teeth Try this out (screenshot it) 😅 1️⃣ Stop setting “future-you” goals Your brain only understands now or lol-not-now. 😂 Setting a 6-month goal for ADHD is like ordering motivation on Temu… with no tracking number and no hope it will show up 2️⃣ Switch from outcome goals to identity goals “I’m losing 30 lbs” ❌ “I’m someone who moves daily” ✅ “I am a Spartan” ✅ Our ADHD brains love structure. Identities are structure. Willpower is a scam 3️⃣ Shrink the goal until it feels stupid simple Your goal isn’t “work out.” Your goal is “put on shoes.” If your goal requires a personality change, it’s too big. 4️⃣ Track showing up, not results Did you show up? Congrats. You win. ADHD brains quit when the scoreboard updates too slowly. 5️⃣ Add dopamine on purpose Music. Novelty. Rewards. Streaks. Raw-dogging fitness with discipline is for neurotypicals. 6️⃣ Make the goal visible or it doesn’t exist Out of sight = out of mind = out of the gym. If your goal isn’t staring at you daily, your brain already forgot it. 7️⃣ Stop trying to be perfect. Miss a day? Continue anyway Missing one day isn’t failure. Quitting because of it is. One bad day doesn’t delete the save file. ADHD doesn’t need more motivation. It needs better systems. Identity. Tiny step.
