ZOLosing a beloved animal is like losing a piece of your heart. 💔 Anyone who has loved an animal understands how deep that bond can be, and how hard it is to say goodbye.
That’s why we want to send a very special thank you to Ashleigh. After losing her furry friend, she chose to turn that grief into something beautiful by donating one of the largest enrichment donations we have received so far in 2026.
Toys, bedding, and other gently used items that once brought joy to her companion will now help bring stimulation, comfort, and enrichment to the animals here at the zoo. Her kindness ensures that the love she had for her pet will continue to make a difference in the lives of many animals.
Ashlynn, we truly empathize with how hard this loss is, and we are so incredibly grateful that you chose to share your pet’s belongings with our animals. Your generosity means more than words can say.

@heritage_park_zoo is located in Prescott, Arizona. This sanctuary only takes in rescue animals and some that you will find are bears, alpacas, javelinas and more. We love this place because it's open year round and easy to walk. Plus there are tons of kid areas like a playground and a sandbox.

Tickets for kids are arpund $12 and for adults $15/$16
