There’s something about tiropita that will always take me back… 😊
Little me, walking to school with the other kids, backpacks too big for our shoulders, laughing about nothing and everything. And if we were lucky—if we had a few coins in our pockets—we’d stop at the bakery on the way.
The smell alone was enough to make you feel warm. Fresh, golden filo… that first bite of tiropita, crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy inside 🤍
And of course, always paired with chocolate milk 😂(milko)
That was our little luxury… our happiness in the simplest form☺️🙏
Those moments weren’t just about food. They were about growing up, sharing, and finding joy in the small things. This is how we grew up …& I feel so blessed!
Tiropita isn’t just a snack… it’s one of the most loved and famous Greek baked pitas 🇬🇷
A tradition passed down through generations, made with love, memories, and the kind of comfort you never forget.
Today I’m making it in my own kitchen… but somehow, every bite still feels like that walk to school.
