Dans le cadre du projet SEWOH (Amélioration de l’agroécologie et de l’agroforesterie pour des systèmes alimentaires résilients et intégrés en Afrique), mis en œuvre par Muyissi Environnement avec le soutien de l’African Biodiversity Network (ABN) et de Bread for the World (BftW), nous sommes allés à la rencontre des communautés rurales de la province de la Ngounié.
Pour ce premier épisode, nous donnons la parole à M. Joacquim MBINA, du village Mounigou. À travers son témoignage, il partage son expérience, ses pratiques agricoles et sa vision des savoirs transmis de génération en génération.
Un échange authentique, qui nous rappelle l’importance de préserver et transmettre les connaissances locales pour construire un avenir plus durable.

What if the solutions for sustainable agriculture were already embedded within our own communities?
As part of the SEWOH project (Strengthening Agroecology and Agroforestry for Resilient and Integrated Food Systems in Africa), implemented by Muyissi Environnement with the support of the African Biodiversity Network (ABN) and Bread for the World (BftW), we engaged with rural communities in Ngounié Province to document their knowledge and lived experiences.
In this first episode, we highlight the testimony of Mr. Joacquim MBINA, from the village of Mounigou. He reflects on his agricultural practices, the challenges faced by local farmers, and the intergenerational transmission of ecological knowledge.
His account offers an authentic and insightful perspective, reminding us of the critical importance of preserving—and revitalizing—local and indigenous knowledge systems as a foundation for building more sustainable and resilient food futures.
