Air moving above the altocumulus clouds interacts with air moving (at a differing rate/direction) below the altocumulus clouds, producing the notable rows of altocumulus undulatus clouds. βUndaβ is Latin for βwave.β Altocumulus undulatus clouds occur at a height of ~6,500 to 16,500 feet. Pilots consider any type of undulatus cloud as a sign of potential turbulence.

Certain meteorological conditions, especially cloud patterns, can occasionally result in unusual and bewildering phenomena. Fallstreak holes are one example of this.
Fallstreak holes are enormous circular or oval gaps that develop in altocumulus or cirrocumulus clouds as a result of the formation of ice crystals from supercooled water, which also causes the surrounding water droplets to evaporate.
This phenomenon is primarily brought on by airplanes flying over clouds, which cause ice crystals to develop and water droplets to evaporate behind them.
These appearances could be quite artificial-looking and are sometimes mistaken for UFOs or other man-made things. Although they may appear to be man-made artifacts, they are actually the outcome of a natural process that was started by a man-made object.

Aparecen estas nubes cΓΊmulos congestus, enormes, vivas.
Una nube asΓ puede contener cientos de toneladas de agua. ΒΏPero cΓ³mo flota en el aire?
La realidad es esta: la nube estΓ‘ hecha de microgotas y cristales diminutos, tan livianos y tan dispersos
que la gravedad no puede tirarlos todos al piso de golpe.
AdemΓ‘s, dentro del cΓΊmulo hay corrientes ascendentes de aire cΓ‘lido que mantienen esas gotitas suspendidas y en movimiento.
Cuando esas corrientes se debilitan o las gotas crecen demasiado⦠ahà aparece la lluvia.
Tal vez por eso me gustan tanto.
Porque son gigantes, pero frΓ‘giles.
Imponentes, pero temporales.
Y aun asΓ, con solo mirarlas, te acomodan un poco la cabeza y te hacen pensar que arriba de uno siempre estΓ‘ pasando algo enorme!!
