It isn’t perfect.
I still much prefer a geared clock (where the hour hand moves at the same time as the minute hand is turned).
And I’d like it just a little bigger, but it needs to fit on an A4 page so it’s accessible for most people to print easily.

As for the hands.
❌ a file clip doesn’t work well. They’re too big and also the hands get stuck and don’t move independently.
😊 I did like the black plastic hands that I bought online. They worked so well. And they’re adorable & fun. BUT they’re not long enough for our clock face. And as per above, o want a good sized clock face, not a smaller one.
👌🏽 the split pin paper fastener worked perfectly.
I’m going to amend the template so the clock hands are just a little “fatter”. But you can use as is for the moment, just cut around with an extra wide border for each of them, especially at the end where the clip is attached.
The free template is not a bad option if you can’t get your hands on a good teaching clock with the features we’re after - to follow the 3 step method of teaching time.
