ALWhat “Base ISO” actually means 🎥✨
Base ISO is the camera’s cleanest, most noise-free sensitivity.
This is where your sensor delivers:
• Maximum dynamic range
• Lowest noise
• Best highlight & shadow detail

🎬 Dual Native ISO (FX30 / FX3)
These cameras have two clean ISO levels, not one.
📍 FX30 (S-Log3)
• Base ISO 800 (bright environment)
• Base ISO 2500 (low light)
📍 FX3 (S-Log3)
• Base ISO 800 (bright scenes)
• Base ISO 12,800 (low-light beast)
👉 When you jump between these base ISOs, the camera switches to a different sensor amplification path, giving you clean exposure instead of noisy gain.
💡 Pro tip:
Always expose on base ISO’s when possible — compensate with your aperture, shutter speed, or invest in ND filters. Other ISO’s (especially higher ISO’s) adds noise fast.

Most of you don’t need a new camera.
You need to fix two things:
Setting 1: Shutter Speed
Double your frame rate.
24fps? → 1/48 or 1/50
60fps? → 1/120
This gives you natural motion blur.
Setting 2: Picture Profile
Stop shooting in random creative styles.
Use a flat profile and expose properly.
Then:
Step 3: Expose for skin tones.
Step 4: Protect highlights.
Step 5: Add contrast in post — not in camera.
Fix those two settings and your footage instantly feels cinematic.

JEDon’t forget the 3 C’s.
A lot of people don’t use the custom buttons on their camera, but they can be extremely helpful when having to switch between settings quickly.
I used them last week in a fashion show where I had to shoot both photo and video and it was extremely helpful because I didn’t have to worry about sift through my settings while I was shooting and instead was able to seamlessly switched between photo and video settings as the day went on
