LEArticle 50 of the Constitution of India (a Directive Principle of State Policy) mandates the separation of the judiciary from the executive in the public services of the State.
Its objective is to ensure:
1. Judicial independence
2. Fair and impartial administration of justice
3. Freedom from executive interference
Although Article 50 is not enforceable, it forms a core constitutional value, later elevated through judicial interpretation into part of the basic structure doctrine.

🧠 Constitutional Essence?
Article 50 may be a Directive Principle, but its spirit is constitutional gold: Justice must not only be done, it must be free from executive influence. A judiciary that is not independent is not a judiciary at all.
