Getting the print onto the fabric
was the most demanding part so far.
The initial version looked right on screen,
but once printed, it felt too heavy.
So I refined the 3d Print.
Adjusted the lines.
Reduced the weight.
Reworked the structure.
Now it’s finally on the fabric.
And honestly… I’m relieved it works now.
There were several failed prints along the way.
It would have been easier to move on.
But I stayed with it.
This week I’ll bring the print and the jacket together
and hopefully complete the piece.
Sometimes it only comes together
because you didn’t leave it behind.

CHSometimes it’s just one more try away.
While developing the 3D structure for the jacket,
this weekend was a lot of testing, failing and recalibrating.
Now the print finally seems to behave the way it should.
Still hours to go and this is only part 1 of 3, even on an 80×80 cm print bed.
Fingers crossed.
