Difference between synchronous and asynchronous programming 🤯 Synchronous programming runs tasks one after another, so each step waits for the previous one to finish. Asynchronous programming allows tasks to run independently, so the program can continue working while waiting for slow operations like network calls. In short: synchronous blocks execution, while asynchronous improves responsiveness and efficiency.🚀 Follow for more🫡 #softwareengineering #computerscience

Interviewers asked me about these 3 projects while I was interviewing for SWE roles. 1. Scheduler comparison algorithm. This was done in Java and was an implementation of RR, FIFO, SJF with some deterministic and non deterministic variations. In addition to this, I calculated the efficiency of each scheduler under different loads and with varying burst times and plotted the results using python matplotlib. 2. A UDP server. This was much simpler than it sounds. Built a UDP server in Java that listens for incoming messages, handles multiple clients, and sends responses. Basically showing how connectionless networking works in action. Much more practical than you’d think, as server protocols is used in simple applications. 3. A full stack web app. This was a react app. I used next.js for routing and supabase for the database. This app has real users which was the main talking point. #softwareengineering #tech #coding #computerscience #softwaredeveloper
