CNS PREP: DEPTH JUMPS - stay on the balls of your feet, as soon as you hit the floor, explode up vertically. keep feet dorsiflexed (toes to the ceiling) as you jump. goal is to minimize time of the ground. quickly absorb, quickly exert. 1.5 ZERCHER SQUATS - wrap a t shirt or hoodie around the bb if the weight on your elbows are too much. BB POWER STEP UP - practicing how to quickly absorb and exert force with weight. as soon as your foot hits the box, explode up as fast as you can. the goal is to minimize how long it takes you to step up. keep foot flexed as you raise it off the box. BULGARIAN TUCK JUMP - can modify by doing regular bulgarian jumps. focus on staying in the balls of you feet. LOW HANDLE TRAP BAR RDL - low handle = more range of motion, put more stress on grip. HIP BANDED KB SWING - the band forces you to accelerate through the top portion of the movement, engaging hips and glutes more. GLIDER SPRINTER LUNGE - keep back leg as straight as possible, this creates a big stretch in your glutes and forces you to stand up pushing through the working leg only. BAND ASSISTED NORDIC CURLS - try your best to keep your hips in line with your torso so you are falling and coming back up in one straight line. if you need to, modify by only focusing on the eccentric portion - control down and then push yourself back up. 🎥 @mikmailhesfit #trainlikeanathlete #athlete #athletictraining #mobility #plyometrics #fitnessjourney #gymmotivation #explosivetraining

Too many people rush straight to heavy weight to prove something. The problem is when the movement isn’t mastered first, the body compensates. That’s when plateaus, poor mechanics, and injuries start to show up. Real strength is built by learning to control your body through the pattern before loading it. Slow the movement down. Stay balanced. Keep the hips, core, and spine working together. When you own the pattern, the weight will come. Master the movement, then the weight. 🧷 Try this out! Front Rack Squat Step-Backs: 3-4 sets x 6-8 reps SL RDL to High Knee Swings: 3-4 sets x 6 reps each side High Knees to Lateral Squat: 3 sets x 8-10 reps Split Stance Rotational Drive: 3-4 sets x 6-8 reps each side Focus on staying controlled in the step-backs, hinging through the hips during the RDL, sitting into the hip on the lateral squat, and keeping the core braced during the rotational drive.
