You’re swinging straight across your body This creates:
- Less topspin
- Poor net clearance
- Inconsistent contact
Often caused by: Dropping the racket too little and leading too much with the arm instead of the whole body

Think of your racket tracing a loop:
1. Start high- Racket up around chest/shoulder height
2. Drop low (the “slot”)- Let the racket head fall below the ball
3. Swing up and through- Brush up the back of the ball
4. Finish high- Racket ends above or around shoulder level
This creates topspin + control + net clearance
